Art Speaks is a site-specific performance based on public art at the Culver City Civic Center. These include a reference to Culver City being a "sundowner" town where blacks were prohibited from being in town after dark and had to sneak out after performing at a nightclub in town. The other site is a public art installation honoring the Tongva nation who whose land was essentially confiscated by the city
