Help Us Create

DS&D has created over 90 new works since 1985. We create several brand new works each year ranging from site-specific to collaborative projects. Donna Sternberg been called “a maker of dances as technically stunning as they are dramatically resonant” Jessica Abrams, exploredance.com and “an exceptional ability to communicate through pure movement” Irene Oppenheim, LA Times.

Support Our Dancers

DS&D ranges from 4-6 dancers who are hard working technically skilled, dramatic artists. Their input is essential in the creation of new work and they also perform and teach. DS&D is committed to providing them with the best working conditions possible.

  • Performing fees for the dancers
  • Monthly rehearsal pay for the dancers
  • Costumes for the dancers
  • Gas money to and from rehearsals and performances

Build A Strong Infrastructure

The ability to offer our programs and to grow is dependent upon a strong infrastructure. While not sexy or provocative, administrative help is essential to maintain and build a dependable, well run company.   Your support will enable us to:

  • Provide assistance with grant writing and fund development
  • Implement strategic planning
  • Pay staff to do admin tasks while Donna keeps her flame focused on creating dance for the community

Community Outreach

DS&D is engaged in community outreach and involvement in a variety of ways. Our lifelong learning program is focused on the belief that the desire to learn is ageless. We offer the opportunity for community members to participate in creative projects, discount tickets to performances as well as offer free public performances, assemble panels of scientists and artists.

Your contribution makes possible:

  • Educational lecture/demonstrations in public schools that focus on the interface between science and dance
  • Discount tickets to senior citizens and students to attend performancesWorkshops and master classes for non-dancerservice.
